Sheffield Saints: 73 (10, 32, 53)
Sheffield Arrows: 71 (21, 35, 51)

The second Steel City Derby of the day took place at All Saints Sports Hall on Sunday at 4.00pm – City of Sheffield Saints v. Sheffield Arrows in the Men's National Cup. The game looked to be going the way of the Division 1 side, as they led by 11 points at the end of the first quarter. Saints ended the half with a deficit of 3 points, thanks to a blend of youth and experience, as well as three 3 pointers, one from young Dan James, two from Joe Faddoul.

After the interval with two more 3s, and 5 missed free throws from the Arrows, Saints went into the final nerve-wracking 10 minutes leading by 2. This lead grew to as many as 9 with 4 minutes left on the clock, but a mix of Saints missed baskets and turnovers, left Arrows with a 1 point lead, they missed two free throws, and with only seconds on the clock, Kingsley Ellmer scored a 3 pointer, giving Saints a win by 2 points, 73 – 71. Saints will have an away fixture in the third round of the Cup.
