Saints met the Trojans from the Tyne in the Men's National Shield, and lost their way against the height of the 7 man team from the north east.
In the second quarter they only scored 12 points to 30, plus an ejection foul on Joe Faddoul, and only scoring three 3 pointers from 28 – hopefully this was only a hangover from their cup success of the previous weekend. Saints will face Leeds Met away in the next round of the National Cup.
Saints have a trip across the Pennines to play Manchester Magic 11 on Saturday – we hope the magic is with the visitors, and Saints get back to winning ways.
