City of Sheffield Saints Men came back from a scrappy game v Nottingham Tribe with a 59 – 55 win, far too close for comfort, mainly due to Saints 21 turnovers, 30 missed 2 point shots and only scoring 4 from 19 threes. Luckily Saints made 17 of 25 free throws, and Chris Laws held his nerve with 7 from 8 in the final quarter which helped to save the day. John Stewart was top scorer again with 19, but only 2 other players got into double figures. Saints will not need any motivating for their home game v local rivals Sheffield Sabres, but will have to be at their best for what will undoubtedly be a very tough game against the team which includes four ex BBL Sharks. The game is at All Saints on Saturday 5th December 6.30pm tip.
